Energy Invoice Verification

Did you know that more than 10% of energy bills contain errors? This can vary from the price per kWh or m³ to the calculation of the energy tax. Many of these invoicing problems result from an inadequate control over the actual measured values. There is also often inadequate understanding of the contracts and the applicable rates. Therefore we offer an invoice verification service.

How does invoice verification work?

Hellemans Consultancy has developed a system in which energy bills can be analysed. We compare the consumption data with the (validated) measurement data within the contract as well as with the laws established by the Department of Energy. We also compare the contracted capacity with the actual capacity and the contract with actual usage. Finally, we compare the bill with any pre-payments already made. 

Based on this analysis, we can see the actual consumption and the amounts paid.  If it seems that too much has been paid, then we will manage the refund process.  Refunds are possible going back up to five years. 

Adjusting Contracts

The data from the invoice analysis can be used to adjust an existing contract and for the procurement of energy. Hellemans Consultancy’s analysts have an in-depth knowledge of the energy market and, therefore, we can offer you a sophisticated procurement strategy. 

No cure, no pay

You can ask for invoice verification on a no cure, no pay basis. This offers the advantage that no fee is charged if no refund is due.
